Setting Up and Use Country Specific VAT

Overview  

This video explains how to set up and use country specific VAT in Khaos Control Cloud. There are step by step setup instructions below the video.


Steps 

  1. Firstly, enable Country Specific Tax.
    1. Go to [System Setup | System Values | Accounts].
    2. Click Edit.
    3. Enable the Country Specific Tax toggle and click Save Screen.
  2. Now the tax rates will need to be added to each applicable country.
    1. Go to [System Setup | System Data | Countries].
    2. Green select the country you wish to enable country specific tax.
    3. Click Grid Actions and select Country Tax Rates.
    4. In the popup dialog click +New and enter the details for the tax rate(s) you wish to use for this country.
    5. Click OK to confirm the rates for this country.
  3. Finally the tax rates created in step 2 will need to be applied to relevant stock items.  This can be done one of two ways as listed below in steps 3.1 or 3.2.
    1. The most efficient way of doing this is by setting it to a Level 2 Stock type.
      1. Go to [System Setup | System Data | Level 2: Type].
      2. Green select the stock type to have country specific vat applied. There is no need to click Edit.
      3. ​Click Grid Actions and select Set Country Tax Rates.
      4. Click +New.
        1. You will be presented with country specific VAT rates as defined in [System Data | Tax Rates].
        2. Green select all applicable tax rates for the product and click OK.
          1. Only a single TAX rate from each country may be registered.
        3. Click OK to confirm the tax rates.
    2. In order to apply tax rates to single products:
      1. Open the stock item record and click Edit.
      2. Click Actions and select Country Tax Rates.
      3. Click +New.
        1. You will be presented with country specific VAT rates as defined in [System Data | Tax Rates].
        2. Green select all applicable tax rates for the product and click OK.
          1. Only a single TAX rate from each country may be registered against a single stock item.
        3. Click OK to confirm the tax rates.
      4. Click Save Stock Item.
