Client Query - Stop Delivery Tax on Sales Orders

Question/Problem

 

How do I stop tax being applied to the delivery charge on sales orders? 


Solution

The system will only apply tax to orders within your own country unless you have configured country specific tax, in which case it will also apply to specified countries.

To disable tax on delivery charges and sales orders where all stock items on the order are non-taxable:
  1. Go to [System Setup | System Values | Accounts].
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enable the Override Delivery Rate toggle (See image bellow).
  4. Click Save Screen.
