Client Query - eBay Stock Matching

Question/Problem 

My eBay channel is not matching any stock items for stock levels or order import, why is this?

Resolution/Solution 

Although there could be a number of reasons, the most likely is due to matching an incorrect value in KCC. eBay primarily uses the Custom Label field from your eBay stock items, if this is blank the EAN number will be used and if both these fields are blank there will be no possible link between eBay and KCC for stock matching. To ensure that KCC is set correctly:

Steps 

  1. Go to your eBay channel [Main | Stock] tab.
  2. In the Define how stock items will match when importing data grid ensure that at least one of the following applies:
    1. The Barcode specified first in the grid represents the eBay Custom Label or the eBay EAN number.
    2. The SKU (KCC Stock code) matches either barcode above.
  3. In the Profiles - Define how stock items can upload to the channel grid ensure that the Stock Match Type field represents one of:
    1. If set to barcode then the one selected represents the eBay Custom Label or the eBay EAN number.
    2. If set to Stock Code, this must match match either the eBay Custom Label or the eBay EAN number.
  4. If using the Stock - choose which stock items will send levels / properties to this channel grid ensure that the Barcode field represents:
    1. If set to use profile default the value from step 3 will be used.
    2. If set to Stock Code, this must match matches either the eBay Custom Label or the eBay EAN number.
    3. If set to any listed barcode then the one selected must represent the eBay Custom Label or the eBay EAN number.
