Resolution/Solution 

Yes, partly

The channel sends the delivery service requested by the customer with the sales order. If the Channel Order Type has a specified specific courier then no, nothing will change. If the Channel Order Type has a Courier Group specified or if either 'On Import-Reassess' or 'On Invoice Reassess' then the Courier Bandings table will be used to select the most appropriate courier.
